This is a MUST for us! When I started Curious Snoots I thought: โWhich dogs need enrichment the most?โ And the answer was clear: โThe shelter dogs!!!โ
So in June 2023, I started volunteering at the New Westminster Animal Shelter where I have the privilege to offer my enriched walks to the shelter pups :3

Long story shortโฆ
In 2021, I left my corporate job to follow my dream of working with dogsโฆ

Certified dog walker, dog trainer and a curious at heart!
Yep, back in 2021, I made the decision to leave my "fancy 9-5 marketing job at a Vancouver tech startup to follow my lifelong dream of working with dogs (best decision ever!!!).
I started my dog career working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility where I got valuable hands-on experience managing large groups of dogs. It was the perfect place to learn about dog behaviour, canine body language and dog safety.
With now 4+ years of experience working with dogsโฆ
Coming from a doggy daycare background, I quickly became aware of how challenging this environment can be for sensitive dogs and how long-term stress affects the quality of life of these dogs. I wanted to create an alternative specifically designed for dogs with big feelings, those who need extra love and attention, and thatโs how Curious Snoots was born :)
Helping dogs with BIG FEELINGS became my mission!

Similar to Lauraโs story, I transitioned out of my corporate marketing role to pursue my dream career in helping and loving dogs.
What really ignited this passion was my sensitive and reactive Miniature American Shepherd, Darwin. She became my crash course in understanding dog behaviour, body language, and reactivity. Because of her, I started apprenticing as a dog trainer and pursuing further education in dog behaviour and reactivity through seminars, classes and certified courses.
If youโve ever felt frustrated, discouraged, misunderstood, stressed or anxious because of your sensitive pup, I GET YOU!
Iโve been through all these emotions as well and I can 100% empathize with you, your pup, and all the feelings that come with it - good and bad.
This is exactly why I would love to help and support you. Itโs a journey with a lot of ups and downs, but Iโd love to be that stepping stone that helps enrich both you and your dogโs life going forward! Trust me, itโs so rewarding when you figure out a routine and system that works!
